Angels In The Outfield
Roger is a foster child whose irresponsible father promises to get his act together when Roger's favorite baseball team, the California Angels, wins the pennant. Taking his father's words literally, Roger prays for God to help the Angels win. And angels are assigned to make that possible.

Serviceable, but why does Tony Danza have to die?August 13, 2002
On behalf of Angels fans everywhere, I demand an apology from the makers of this film.August 09, 2007
A sugary and sickening Disney remake...January 01, 2000
The main problem here is one that seems to plague too many movies these days -- the film simply cannot seem to settle on a tone, wildly careening from broad, silly slapstick to syrupy sentiment.July 14, 2003
Terrible fantasy. Full of depressing things like orphans and death. No amount of angels can uplift that.May 22, 2008
Uplifting (for some) fantasy-comedy-drama. Stick with original version from 1950s.
